Introduction :
Geogrid are biaxial polymeric grid formed by a regular network of integrally connected tensile elements with apertures of sufficient size to allow interlocking with surrounding soil, rock, or earth to function primarily as reinforcement. Geogrids are planar polymeric structures consisting of an open network of tensile elements with integrally fused joints. These high strength meshes have a high secant modulus and mobilize most of their strength within 2 to 4 percent strain.
Raw Material :
Geogrid are manufactured from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE).
Properties :
=> Resistance to corrosion and most chemicals.
=> Resistance to biological degradation.
=> Dimensional stability.
=> UV stabilized.
=> Flexibility allows for ground movement without cracking.
Applications :
* Roadways and Pavements, *Track beds, *Parking lots, *Hard standings,*Stockyards,*Landfills,
* Foundation of Structure. |
